Logging on to your CIEGE Account
1. Go to http://otterbein.abroadoffice.net/CIEGE.html
2. Go to Create an Account. You will fill in information and create a password.
3. Please fill in the following screens:
a. Contact Information
b. Academic Information
c. Program Preferences
d. Current Address
e. Permanent Address
f. Emergency Contact
g. Contact while Abroad
4. After you have completed all of the above information, you will then need to apply for a program. (Click on world map, or in the section titled “My Applications” in the first paragraph at the top, click on the blue hyperlink to “Return to the World Map.”
a. Please select the semester or term during which you wish to study, for example, Spring, 2014
b. Then, select the program, such as Spring Break 2014, Literary London.
5. You will then be able to see the program for which you have applied, and the forms that will be needed.
a. Click on Online Forms and upload documents. Typically, you will need to upload the following forms:
i. Waiver form
ii. Course Transfer Approval form, if studying abroad for a full semester
iii. Financial Aid Approval, if studying for a full semester and receiving financial aid
iv. Study Abroad Scholarship Application, if studying for a full semester in a program that isn’t an exchange program
